Nico’s Breakpoint Advice for Solana Founders: Start With Investors’ Recent Deals
Superteam Argentina’s Nico suggests using recent funding rounds to choose which investors to meet at Breakpoint in London and what to ask them.
Nico, who leads Superteam Argentina, is telling Solana founders headed to Breakpoint in London to build their meeting list around investors’ recent deals. In a Nov. 4 post on X, he argued that what a fund backed in the past year gives founders a better starting point for a conversation than the firm’s name or a broad statement of its interests.

Breakpoint runs Nov. 15–17 at Olympia London, but meetings around the conference begin earlier. The Solana Demo Day closes Hacker House London on Nov. 12. The Solana Foundation and Superteam UK are taking applications from teams that can show a specific product or feature, and audience registration requires approval. For a team with a working demo, that offers a different kind of introduction from a chat at an evening mixer.
What a recent deal can tell a founder
Nico points to Multicoin Capital’s investment in Exponent as one example. On April 30, Exponent announced that Multicoin led its $5 million seed round. The Solana project builds tools for trading interest rates and constructing portfolios. A founder working on related infrastructure could use the deal to ask which customer needs the investor thinks are still unmet. The same homework could reveal a portfolio conflict if the products compete directly.
The venue also matters. Multicoin’s London darts event requires accepted registration, and the host says admission can still depend on capacity. Checking the host and getting in touch with a relevant person beforehand makes a meeting less dependent on who happens to turn up.
Nico suggests using the first conversation to earn a second one. For a casual introduction, his preference is to follow up after about a week with a concrete update and a proposed next step. If someone has already asked for a demo or agreed on a date, that gives the founder a clearer cue than any general rule about timing.
