Wazz’s Alphabet token snapshot shows why volume and liquidity rank differently
A stablecoin-pair snapshot put bStocks ahead of Coinbase on reported liquidity, with Solana’s GOOGLx close behind Coinbase. None of the figures showed how much a fixed order would move the price.
Wazz, who builds the tokenizedstonks tracker, showed on Nov. 5 that the Alphabet token with the highest trading volume in his snapshot did not have the most reported liquidity. Looking only at stablecoin pairs, he put bStocks’ GOOGLB on BNB Smart Chain ahead of Coinbase’s GOOGLc on Base by reported liquidity. Solana’s GOOGLx was close to the Coinbase token on that measure despite trading much less over the previous 24 hours.
Actually GOOGLb edges the Coinbase version as the most liquid spot market for tokenized Google stock (stable pairs only)

The screenshot showed $2.9 million in reported liquidity for GOOGLB, $1.9 million for GOOGLc and $1.8 million for the Solana version of GOOGLx, issued by xStocks. The corresponding 24-hour volumes were $1.4 million, $9.5 million and $1.9 million. The volume counts were incomplete for GOOGLB and GOOGLc: 86 of 93 and 39 of 48 listed markets, respectively, were reporting. These were figures from Wazz’s screenshot. The live Alphabet page covers a broader set of markets and shows when its figures were updated.
What the snapshot leaves open
Volume measures how much traded over a period. Reported pool liquidity gives a view of the funds in the markets the tracker covers, but the amount available near the current price can differ. Even two pools with similar reported liquidity can quote different prices for the same order if their liquidity is distributed differently. Uniswap’s documentation calls the price change caused by the order itself price impact; the difference between the expected price and the actual fill is slippage.
To compare execution on Solana, Base and BNB Smart Chain, a follow-up could record quotes at the same moment for the same dollar amount, on the same side of the trade and against the same stablecoin. A larger order could change the ranking again. Wazz’s snapshot shows why the liquidity and volume columns tell different stories; the quotes would show what that means for a trade of a given size.
