Foxdog unveils first greeting card NFTs
Famous greeting card company Foxdog today April 12, 2021, announced the launch of the Foxdog collectibles, a limited series edition of NFT greeting cards.
Scheduled to be auctioned on the OpenSea NFT marketplace, the Foxdog collectibles feature 8 pandemic-themed designs, each of which is a unique piece to be sold for 0.7 ETH.
According to the card company, proceeds from the sale will go to the CDC Foundation, a non-profit organization created to offer support to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP).
Titled Flying Solo, The Economy, Pinata, Fridge, Stay Safe, Superhero, Virtual Background, and Trash, these unique collections according to the company's CEO were derived from various aspects of the pandemic and accompanying lockdown.
Speaking to reporters, Greg Hughes, CEO of Foxdog revealed that they are thrilled to not only launch these greeting cards but to be the first company to actually turn them into non-fungible tokens. He further stated that they are elated to give 100% of the proceeds from the sale to the CDC Foundation.
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in the last few months have become one of the most talked-about concepts in the blockchain and crypto space with tons of celebrities and brands alike jumping on the frenzy.
