Across 2021, the blockchain gaming industry witnessed a sharp rise in value and adoption rates as play-2-earn (P2E) games led the wild rise. With experts estimating that the gaming industry will grow to a $300 billion industry by 2025, blockchain-based games still have a lot in the tank to grow in the coming years. As such, new games are being launched by the day aiming to solve current problems in this space such as high transaction costs, transparency, and fairness.

One of the leading blockchain-based games, Era 7: Game of Truth aims to create a new concept of EsportsFi, by integrating the competitiveness of Esports with blockchain and decentralized finance (DeFi). The Binance Smart Chain (BSC)-based game combines trading card gaming with fast-paced competitive gameplay while incorporating NFT-themed play-to-earn concepts. By integrating blockchain, Era 7 leverages the decentralization qualities to guarantee players security, fairness, and global circulation of the in-game assets.

Era7 plans to launch IFO on February 18th

Era 7 plans to launch its initial farm offering (IFO) to players and investors on February 18th, 2022. The IFO launch follows a successful seed round backed by top seed investors such as HashKey, Huobi Ventures, OKEX Blockchain Ventures, and Mobox among others. Additionally, Era 7 completed its first batch of NFT Mystery Boxes sales on December 20, opening the platform to NFT enthusiasts and players to start collecting in-game assets.

According to a release, the Era 7 tokens have a maximum capped supply of 1 billion tokens, usable within the game. The token will be split into two, Era Token and the Game of Truth (GOT) token, the former as the main in-game currency and the latter representing a resource token. The IFO will be launched on BSC’s largest decentralized exchange, Pancakeswap.

This upcoming IFO provides a good opportunity for early supporters to benefit from the high APR rates and minimize the risk offered on their unique NFT trading cards while enjoying the rewards of the game.

A new era for blockchain gaming

Using a GameFi economic model, Era 7 empowers every player in the game to play to win through token rewards. GOT tokens power the Era 7 gaming economy and can be acquired by winning games on the platform, participation in PvP or PvE games, or purchasing using Era tokens. On the other hand, Era tokens enable players to purchase in-game assets such as NFT mystery boxes, Master Cards, Battle Cards, purchase virtual land, and earn more community rights while participating in decentralized governance. The Era token will be purchasable on exchanges and can be exchanged for an array of cryptocurrencies.

The platform is designed to lower the barriers of entry for new players and traditional gamers, giving them the opportunity to earn, own, and exchange in-game items with real-world currencies. By combining the highly incentivized economic model, competitive & fast-paced gameplay, and creative combat and strategy games, Era 7 aims to be the leader in the GameFi industry. The Era7 developers aim to establish a market-oriented approach for the Game of Truth. By combining cutting-edge technology and ground-breaking new gaming innovations, Game of Truth’s target of being a TCG benchmark in the world of GameFi looks poised to take off.

With the world of gaming on an explosive trend to the top, fast-paced and fair play-2-earn games such as Era 7 could be the gateway to welcome new gamers to the industry. Finally, the platform's ability to combine the competitiveness of Esports games with GameFi keeps the innovation space in blockchain gaming alive, giving players a brand new experience on all games. Besides, the Era 7 team is building a scalable competitive ecosystem that will include a live streaming, esports community, animated series, and GameFi IP, etc
