Unstoppable Domains co-founder Brad Kam hosts Reddit AMA
Brad Kam, a co-founder of blockchain-based web hosting company Unstoppable Domains, hosted an AMA on social-media platform Reddit last Friday. Unstoppable Domains offers people Ethereum-hosted websites, as well as the ability to send and receive crypto payments without using long address that are common for most forms of crypto wallets. Unlike a traditional website, a website that Unstoppable Domains hosts can't be taken down or easily censored, as it is hosted on a public blockchain. According to the company, more than 22,000 decentralized websites have been launched on the platform, and over 350,000 have been registered. For the moment, the technology is in its early phases, but it is growing all the time.
With the rise of big tech censorship, businesses like Unstoppable Domains are likely to attract clients. The major web platforms, most of which are based in the USA, have become extreme in their political ideology. With fewer people able to use the web on an unbiased basis, the time for new ideas is here. Blockchain-hosted websites can't be taken down, and it would be very hard to censor them. In addition, the websites that Unstoppable Domains facilitates are crypto-friendly, which is likely to be a massive advantage as more people adopt decentralized currency.
